NATIONAL SAFETY STAND-DOWN 2021

Join us as we recognize the National Safety Stand-Down this May 3-7, 2021. The voluntary event encourages employers to speak with their employees about safety on the job site. The National Safety Stand-Down highlights the importance of Fall Prevention in the Construction Industry.

A Safety Stand-Down can be as simple as having a chat around the watercooler or conducting fall protection equipment inspections and discussing specific hazards. An open forum for employers and employees to discuss safety hazards, protective measures, and safety policies is encouraged. A Safety Stand-Down can be a simple 20-minute talk or in-depth training over several days.

Visit the OSHA Stand-Down website to download a Certificate. Employers can provide Certificates of Participation for their staff. The certificate pages will be active on May 3 at OSHA's Stop Falls Stand-Down page and the National Safety Council's (NSC) webpages.

Information to help with the Stand-Down can be found here, as well as OSHA's Resources and Events pages. A list of events in your area can be found by visiting OSHA's Stand-Down Events page.
